DESCRIPTION:Producers who place batteries (including batteries built into d
 evices\, e.g. e-bikes\, tools\, electronics) on the German market must be 
 registered with Stiftung EAR. When BattDG replaced BattG\, every existing 
 registration had to be actively converted to the new system\; producers wh
 o missed the 15 January 2026 deadline had their registration revoked retro
 actively to 1 January 2026 and faced an automatic sales ban until re-regis
 tered.\n\nQui est concerné: Any company that manufactures or imports batt
 eries\, or imports/sells products containing batteries\, into Germany\, in
 cluding small e-commerce sellers.\n\nQue faire: Confirm your Stiftung EAR 
 / LUCID-equivalent battery registration is active under BattDG (correct ca
 tegory\, valid OfH assignment). If you newly start selling battery-contain
 ing products\, register with Stiftung EAR before placing them on the marke
 t — do not wait for an annual deadline\, registration is a market-entry 
 precondition.\n\nSanction: Loss of registration and an automatic sales ban
  (Vertriebsverbot) in Germany for unregistered/non-converted producers.\n\
 nNote sur la date : The Batt-EU-AnpG replaced the old Batteriegesetz (Batt
 G) with the new Batterie-Durchführungsgesetz (BattDG) on 2025-10-07\, imp
 lementing EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 at national level. Existing
  producer registrations at Stiftung EAR had to be actively adapted/convert
 ed to BattDG requirements (correct battery category\, an approved Organisa
 tion für Herstellerverantwortung\, complete master data) by 2026-01-15.\n
