DESCRIPTION:All Latvia-registered legal entities must have an activated off
 icial electronic mailbox (e-adrese) on the Latvija.gov.lv portal\, the man
 datory channel for correspondence with state and municipal institutions. O
 fficial notices are deemed delivered via e-adrese after a statutory period
  regardless of whether anyone checks it.\n\nQui est concerné: Every compa
 ny\, association\, foundation and other legal entity registered in Latvia\
 , including newly formed ones — this covers essentially all businesses.\
 n\nQue faire: Activate and regularly check the e-adrese for your legal ent
 ity via latvija.gov.lv\, assign someone to monitor it (statutory deadlines
  run from delivery there\, not from when it's read)\, and update access wh
 en changing accountants or administrators.\n\n\nNote sur la date : In forc
 e since 2023-01-01 under the Oficiālās elektroniskās adreses likums for
  all legal entities in Latvia's registers (companies\, associations\, foun
 dations\, trade unions\, etc.). Still relevant for 2026-2028: every newly 
 registered entity must activate one immediately\, adoption/usage is report
 ed by DVI as still well below 100%\, and automatic e-address assignment fo
 r newly registered entities is planned (not yet in force) by end of 2026.\
