DESCRIPTION:All Latvia-registered legal entities must have an activated off
 icial electronic mailbox (e-adrese) on the Latvija.gov.lv portal\, the man
 datory channel for correspondence with state and municipal institutions. O
 fficial notices are deemed delivered via e-adrese after a statutory period
  regardless of whether anyone checks it.\n\nVoor wie geldt dit: Every comp
 any\, association\, foundation and other legal entity registered in Latvia
 \, including newly formed ones — this covers essentially all businesses.
 \n\nWat u moet doen: Activate and regularly check the e-adrese for your le
 gal entity via latvija.gov.lv\, assign someone to monitor it (statutory de
 adlines run from delivery there\, not from when it's read)\, and update ac
 cess when changing accountants or administrators.\n\n\nOpmerking bij de da
 tum: In force since 2023-01-01 under the Oficiālās elektroniskās adrese
 s likums for all legal entities in Latvia's registers (companies\, associa
 tions\, foundations\, trade unions\, etc.). Still relevant for 2026-2028: 
 every newly registered entity must activate one immediately\, adoption/usa
 ge is reported by DVI as still well below 100%\, and automatic e-address a
 ssignment for newly registered entities is planned (not yet in force) by e
