Lithuania: annual packaging/product producer report via GPAIS due 19 February
Date note: Recurring annual deadline confirmed directly on the GPAIS system's own news page: the annual report (metinė ataskaita) must be generated in GPAIS by 30 January and confirmed/approved by 19 February each year, covering the prior calendar year. This entry reflects the 2026 reporting-year deadline (due 2027-02-19); the equivalent 2026-02-19 deadline (for the 2025 reporting year) has already passed. Quarterly summaries are also required, generated and confirmed roughly 29-30 days after each quarter-end.
What changes
Businesses that place packaged products, packaging, or certain other EPR-regulated goods on the Lithuanian market must register and report annually (plus quarterly) through GPAIS, the state's unified products/packaging/waste accounting information system. The annual report for a given calendar year must be generated in GPAIS by 30 January of the following year and confirmed by 19 February.
Who is affected
Any business placing packaging or packaged goods on the Lithuanian market, including manufacturers, importers and distributors selling via e-commerce; obligations can be delegated to a licensed producer-responsibility organisation, but registration/reporting duties remain with the business.
Sizes: micro, small, medium, large · Sectors: E-commerce, Retail, Manufacturing, Hospitality / tourism · Applies if: We import goods into the EU
What to do
Register as a GPAIS user (directly, or via a producer-responsibility organisation), track packaging/product volumes placed on the market each quarter, form and confirm quarterly summaries on time, then generate the annual report by 30 January and confirm it by 19 February of the following year.
