Germany: statutory minimum wage rises to €14.60/hour
All employers with staff in Germany, including minijobs and working students.
The statutory minimum wage (Mindestlohn) rose from €12.82 to €13.90 gross per hour on 1 January 2026, under the Fünfte Mindestlohnanpassungsverordnung (MiLoV5), which implemented the Mindestlohnkommission's unanimous recommendation of 27 June 2025 and was adopted by the Federal Cabinet on 29 October 2025.

Update payroll to at least €13.90/hour from January 2026; check that minijob monthly hour limits still keep employees under the €556 threshold at the new rate.
