Germany: battery producer registrations had to be converted from BattG to BattDG
Uwaga do daty: The Batt-EU-AnpG replaced the old Batteriegesetz (BattG) with the new Batterie-Durchführungsgesetz (BattDG) on 2025-10-07, implementing EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 at national level. Existing producer registrations at Stiftung EAR had to be actively adapted/converted to BattDG requirements (correct battery category, an approved Organisation für Herstellerverantwortung, complete master data) by 2026-01-15.

Producers who place batteries (including batteries built into devices, e.g. e-bikes, tools, electronics) on the German market must be registered with Stiftung EAR. When BattDG replaced BattG, every existing registration had to be actively converted to the new system; producers who missed the 15 January 2026 deadline had their registration revoked retroactively to 1 January 2026 and faced an automatic sales ban until re-registered.

Co zrobić
Confirm your Stiftung EAR / LUCID-equivalent battery registration is active under BattDG (correct category, valid OfH assignment). If you newly start selling battery-containing products, register with Stiftung EAR before placing them on the market — do not wait for an annual deadline, registration is a market-entry precondition.
Sankcje
Loss of registration and an automatic sales ban (Vertriebsverbot) in Germany for unregistered/non-converted producers.
